Visual References to Bookmark Issue 04
Things I’m obsessing over right now
This post might be too long for email, open it in your browser or the Substack app for the best reading experience.
Welcome to Visual References to Bookmark Issue 04, a series where I share recent (and some archival) campaigns, editorial spreads, magazines, design systems, and more. All of the visuals shared are meant to spark ideas — from my archive, to yours.
Each issue takes time and a lot of heart to put together. If you enjoy it and want to see more, consider becoming a subscriber — it helps me keep creating and supports my work.
Let’s dive in.
1. Palazzo Forani photographed by Stefan Giffthaler for The World of Interiors
When I first came across this, my jaw dropped. The interiors are so rich—layered with artwork, intricate detail, and a strong use of color. It’s the kind of space that feels both deeply personal and visually overwhelming in the best way.
It’s nudging me to be more expressive and playful in my own approach to decorating.

2. Nicola Coughlan for Elle
Photographed by Georgia Devey Smith. Styled by Jenny Kennedy.
Nicola is just stunning, and I absolutely love her in Bridgerton (the new season was incredible). I’m obsessed with this campaign—the styling is perfection, and the images have a slight gritty, film-like quality that I love.
It all feels so soft and romantic. I need every piece in my wardrobe immediately.

3. Booklook magazine by Anouk Beckers
I originally came across this project on It’s Nice That and had to dig a little deeper. Booklook is a garment-magazine created by Amsterdam-based artist and designer Anouk Beckers, and it’s exquisite. A publication you can both read and wear, it explores how our clothes are made and the “social, cultural, and historical value they carry.”
It’s such a unique concept, and I love the craftsmanship and thoughtfulness that goes into each issue. As an editorial designer myself, it makes me want to push a little further—exploring alternative approaches to printing beyond traditional publication formats.
So much inspiration in this project.

I hope you enjoyed today’s roundup! Let me know in the comments which one’s your favorite, and share any visual references you think I should check out next.
Until next time,
Bailey x
